James‘ Experience
James has a diverse background that foregrounds experience in corporate/commercial, constitutional, and administrative law and very well-honed research and writing skills.
He has represented clients before Ontario courts and tribunals and before the Federal Court of Canada. He knows how to deploy complex legal resources – statutes, regulations, court and tribunal decisions – to achieve results.
James has six years of experience working as an Associate at Norton Rose Canada LLP in Toronto and holds a PhD in Constitutional and Administrative Law from Queen’s University (2018).
He has taught law at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law at the Toronto Metropolitan University, and he also holds a PhD in English Literature (1995) and taught for five years as an English Professor at the university level. He has excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
