Part-Time Content Marketing Manager - Remote (CLOSED)

Permanent Part-Time (15-20 hrs/week)

Salary: $30-$40/hour

We are seeking a talented permanent part-time Content Marketing Manager to join our team and help us drive growth through effective digital marketing tactics.

Who we are: 

Flex Legal is a freelance lawyer company that strives to make practicing law better for lawyers. Founded by a former lawyer, our goal is to reduce the high number of legal professionals who are burnt-out, stressed-out, addicted, and depressed, and to help lawyers love practicing law again. 

We do this by matching qualified, pre-vetted, and experienced freelance lawyers (and law clerks/paralegals) with solo lawyers, law firms, and legal departments across Canada, to remotely assist with legal work on an as-needed, part-time or project basis. In other words, we help overworked lawyers find more balance in their lives by providing them with cost-effective, as-needed help, and we help our freelancers find flexible, interesting work when a full-time job may not be a possibility.

As we continue to expand, we are looking for a part-time Content Marketing Manager to assist with growing our company. Are you the right person to help us with that? If so, please include the word “ice cream” somewhere in your cover letter! 

Who you are: 

You are a passionate marketing professional with at least 2 years of relevant work experience looking for a flexible permanent part-time remote position to utilize and hone your skills. You are a creative thinker with a strong analytical mindset and a track record of delivering great results. As the Content Marketing Manager, you will work closely with our small management team to develop and execute a marketing strategy that aligns with our business objectives and engage our target audience.

We will consider candidates who:

  • have 2+ years of relevant work experience in social media management, email marketing, and/or graphic design;
  • are proficient in design software (we currently use Canva);
  • are proficient with WordPress;
  • have a strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices;
  • are familiar with CASL (Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation);
  • have excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • able to work independently and remotely;
  • have thorough attention to detail; and
  • are eligible to work in Canada.
  • Proficiency with HubSpot (for email marketing) is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency with Loomly (our Social Media Management Platform) is considered an asset.

Responsibilities will include:

Social Media Strategy and Implementation:                                                                                                 70%

  • Complete a review and audit of our current marketing efforts.
  • Develop and execute a new comprehensive content marketing strategy that aligns with our brand identity and business objectives as applicable.
  • Manage content calendar, ensuring a consistent and timely publication of high-quality materials.
  • Manage and create content for all social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Youtube) to increase brand awareness and engagement. 
  • Monitor all social media channels, respond to inquiries, and engage with followers.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance content marketing strategy.

Newsletter and Blog Management:                                                                                                                 10%

  • Create and execute email marketing campaigns to promote services to our subscribers.
  • Develop and design graphics for our blog posts and LinkedIn newsletters (management team drafts the content).
  • Create and execute monthly Freelancer Update emails (with guidance from management as needed).

Research and Brand Development:                                                                                                                 10%

  • Complete ongoing research and brand development to enhance marketing strategy effectiveness.
  • Generate weekly reports outlining the work completed and to monitor performance.

Additional Responsibilities:                                                                                                                                 10%

  • Monitor and analyze the performance of our website (including SEO), social media and email campaigns using relevant tools and make data-driven decisions to improve future campaigns. Insights to be provided at quarterly meetings.
  • Create, edit, and optimize engaging written, visual, and multimedia content for the website.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure the website is user-friendly, and optimized for search engines.
  • Assist with marketing special events and webinars (approx. 4 times a year)
  • Other duties as required.
