We do this by matching qualified, pre-vetted, and experienced freelance lawyers with solo lawyers, law firms, and legal departments across Canada, to remotely assist with legal work on an as-needed, freelance or project basis. In other words, we help overworked lawyers find more balance in their lives by providing them with cost-effective, as-needed help, AND we help our freelancers find flexible, interesting work when a full-time job may not be a possibility.

Who You Are:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team. You will help by providing support to the CEO and Founder, Erin Cowling, and assist with our general business operations. The main tasks involve matching freelancers with hiring lawyers and law firms, updating the status of projects (what we call the work assignments given by the hiring lawyers to the freelancers), and on-boarding new freelancers to the platform. The Client Success Coordinator will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and ensuring that our law firm clients receive exceptional service.
We will consider candidates who:
- have a post-secondary diploma or degree (new graduates welcomed!)
- have 2+ years of experience in customer/client service, preferably in the legal industry
- are available to work remotely Monday-Friday during regular business hours 9am-5pm (ET) (ability to attend quarterly in-person meetings in Toronto would be an asset)
- are eligible to work in Canada
You will thrive in this role if you:
- are extremely organized and detail-oriented (there are lots of moving parts, and we cannot have things slip through the cracks!)
- are a life-long learner
- possess an ability to work independently, with great time management and problem-solving skills, and an ability to prioritize tasks with little supervision (especially important as this is remote work – and we don’t like to micro-manage)
- have excellent verbal and written communication skills and must be comfortable with speaking on the phone
- are proficient with Google Workspace and Zoom (experience with WordPress and/or a CRM Software – we use HubSpot – is considered an asset)
- have an entrepreneurial spirit, a can-do attitude, and a desire to learn and grow with an innovative and forward-thinking company!
What you will do:
- Manage and respond to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner (which includes gathering information from the law firms about their needs; communicating project specifics to Flex Legal’s freelancers to gather interest; and connecting matched freelancers);
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our CRM system (HubSpot) including client information; project status; freelancer information; etc.
- Assist with reviewing applications and interviewing freelancers who wish to join the platform, completing reference checks, and onboarding successful candidates;
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and procedures to enhance the overall client and freelancer experience;
- Work closely with Erin in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans;
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs);
- Assist with content writing (blog posts) from time to time; and
- Update and maintain the website (WordPress – training provided).

Part-Time Content Marketing Manager - Remote (CLOSED)

Who you are:
You are a passionate marketing professional with at least 2 years of relevant work experience looking for a flexible permanent part-time remote position to utilize and hone your skills. You are a creative thinker with a strong analytical mindset and a track record of delivering great results. As the Content Marketing Manager, you will work closely with our small management team to develop and execute a marketing strategy that aligns with our business objectives and engage our target audience.
We will consider candidates who:
- have 2+ years of relevant work experience in social media management, email marketing, and/or graphic design;
- are proficient in design software (we currently use Canva);
- are proficient with WordPress;
- have a strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices;
- are familiar with CASL (Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation);
- have excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- able to work independently and remotely;
- have thorough attention to detail; and
- are eligible to work in Canada.
- Proficiency with HubSpot (for email marketing) is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with Loomly (our Social Media Management Platform) is considered an asset.
Responsibilities will include:
Social Media Strategy and Implementation: 70%
- Complete a review and audit of our current marketing efforts.
- Develop and execute a new comprehensive content marketing strategy that aligns with our brand identity and business objectives as applicable.
- Manage content calendar, ensuring a consistent and timely publication of high-quality materials.
- Manage and create content for all social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Youtube) to increase brand awareness and engagement.
- Monitor all social media channels, respond to inquiries, and engage with followers.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance content marketing strategy.
Newsletter and Blog Management: 10%
- Create and execute email marketing campaigns to promote services to our subscribers.
- Develop and design graphics for our blog posts and LinkedIn newsletters (management team drafts the content).
- Create and execute monthly Freelancer Update emails (with guidance from management as needed).
Research and Brand Development: 10%
- Complete ongoing research and brand development to enhance marketing strategy effectiveness.
- Generate weekly reports outlining the work completed and to monitor performance.
Additional Responsibilities: 10%
- Monitor and analyze the performance of our website (including SEO), social media and email campaigns using relevant tools and make data-driven decisions to improve future campaigns. Insights to be provided at quarterly meetings.
- Create, edit, and optimize engaging written, visual, and multimedia content for the website.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure the website is user-friendly, and optimized for search engines.
- Assist with marketing special events and webinars (approx. 4 times a year)
- Other duties as required.
